The Scientific Literacy Project
Building a safer, more educated, and better informed society by encouraging scientific literacy and fighting misinformation.

What is Scientific Literacy?

Scientific Literacy is defined as the understanding of scientific principles and concepts, which allows a comprehension of scientific ideas in relation to everyday life.

When people ignore or misunderstand science, it can create problems for society, by keeping people from solving problems with science. Examples include climate change denial, anti-vaccination, and various other theories.
